Your main responsibilities :
The structural engineer will be actively involved in the design of structures of all kinds in the building, power transmission and telecommunication infrastructure sectors. Working more on existing buildings for installation, expansion, addition, modification and/or reinforcement projects, your next challenges will be numerous! Versatile by nature, the structural engineer must be able to organize his or her work well in order to manage the many projects entrusted to him or her.

  • Participate in start-up meetings and technical coordination with team members
  • Perform structural checks
  • Design structures or buildings, towers, pylons or other power transmission or telecommunication structures and infrastructure.
  • Design and verify foundations
  • Write structural analysis reports
  • Participate in coordinating the layout of engineering drawings with draftsmen and ensure the quality of deliverables
  • Participate in work supervision
  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of innovative methods and tools, thus contributing to process optimization
  • May, depending on the candidate's interest, carry out surveys/inspections of structures at height

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or building engineering, structural option
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • One to 3 years' relevant experience - experience in the consulting engineering field in Quebec will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of ETABS, SAP and SAFE software
  • Valid ASP card
  • SPRAT, tower rescue and work at height certifications (asset)
  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel (asset)

Your profile:

  • Strong interest in structural calculations (design) and engineering
  • Intellectual curiosity, desire to learn
  • Fluency in French (oral and written)
  • Excellent management of time and priorities
  • Team spirit, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and interest in improving automated calculation tools
